Security is an important part of our web hosting environment. We do all we can to prevent brute-force attacks, and using a firewall is a necessary prevention tool.

However, this can sometimes lead to clients being accidentally blocked if they happen to have some incorrectly configured software running, or possibly malware and viruses running on their network.

The Client Area now has the ability to unblock your IP if it happens to have been caught in the firewall.


To perform a check, or request your IP unblocked:

Log into your client area as usual at

https://www.smartartist.com.au/clients/whmcs/clientarea.php

Your email address is the same one that receives your regular invoices.
If required, you can choose the reset password option.


After logging in, visit services -> my services, and click the "more details" button next to the domain you are having difficulty connecting to.

Then click the "check Firewall" button at the bottom of the page.

If blocked, it will usually provide an explanation so you can rectify any issue that may cause a re-block to occur.


You can only unblock your own connection using this method, not 3rd parties.

Unblocking typically takes approximately 10-15 minutes. If you still find you are having difficulties connecting, please contact support for further assistance.
